WHAT TO WEAR FOR FALL FAMILY PHOTOS

Today is officially September and in my mind, and unofficial kick-off to Fall!  I’m feeling excited for the cool temps (it’s been so hot where I live in Ohio!), fall colors and family sessions.  It’s also time to start figuring out what to wear for your fall family photos!

As you start thinking what to wear for your fall family photoshoot, I know one of the biggest hurdles is deciding on clothing.  Trying to coordinate, but not be too matchy.  You want everyone to look like themselves, but cute and cohesive.  My seasonal style posts should help you with the process of choosing outfits for everyone.  Make sure to checkout my Pinterest boards for more outfit ideas and inspiration too!

My favorite way to style families for their photos is in neutral colors that will stand the test of time.  If you look back on your photos 20 years from now, they will still look current and beautiful if you selected from natural simple choices.

Below, I have mom wearing a beautiful cream dress with dainty grey flowers.  It’s a flattery and beautiful dress whether you are pregnant or not (it’s not exclusively a maternity dress).  For the daughter I selected a simple grey dress, and the baby and little boy in lighter creamy colors.  Dads are easy and typically can wear jeans or khaki pants and a simple grey or neutral blue button down shirt.
