I hope you’re having a great week!  I wanted to share something that has been on my mind and I think will be helpful for you.  I know we all love taking pictures of our kids… well at least I do… I tend to go a little overboard.  Then my phone fills up…fast.  I thought this might be something you struggle with too, so I wanted to share my system for keeping my treasured pictures safe and sound.  Your phone can break, be stolen, or be lost in a fire.  …and…this is starting to sound like an insurance commercial… 🙂

This is my personal system and it’s certainly not the only way, but it’s the system I use and it works great for me.  I’m sure you can use the cloud as well… but I can’t help you there.

I use Dropbox and really love it!  I have now moved ALL my files from my computer to dropbox in case of a computer crash or a house fire.  All files will be safe and sound.  But we’re not talking about all our files right now… we’re talking about your PHONE photos.  I have the dropbox app downloaded on my phone and my computer.  When I open the app on my phone, it automatically starts backing up my photos and tells me how many more pictures it still needs to back up (and says “syncing”).  Once the backup is complete, I do a quick check to make sure it looks like everything really did transfer.  Then I go ahead and delete them off my phone to free up space for more pictures!  Easy peasy… now I have more space on my phone more pictures!

I can access all documents and photos from my phone AND computer.  And it’s very easy to share files/images by sending a link to your pictures, gallery or doc that you want to share.  I love it and I have that peace of mind that all my photos are safe. You can click HERE to sign up! <3

I’d love to hear if this was helpful for you and if you have any other questions about this or photography, please let me know in the comments below!  …and if you want to make sure you don’t miss another post list this, make sure to click Jenny Beck Photography and “like” to get notices on Facebook!

*These thoughts are my own and I was not paid by Dropbox for this review.*
