Summer wrapped up fast, but I am gearing up for fall with the start of football (Go Buckeyes) and the crisp fall air.  This past weekend, I traveled to Springfield Ohio (about 30-40 minutes from Columbus), to go to the Springfield Antique Show and Fleamarket.  I had never been and wasn’t sure what to expect.  This was bigger than I would have ever expected.  Lots of great finds to be had! “Springfield Antique Show and Fleamarket is where you can see what Country Living, Country Home, Martha Stewart Living, and CNN have continually recognized as one of America’s Best Markets.”  Whoo hoo…then why did I wait so long to get there?

MY FINDS :

Glass black serving dish: $16

-I thought the tag said $6 and thought I found a steal, but come to find out when I got my change back it was $16.  I would have bargained a bit if I had known, but still feel like I walked away with a pretty and unique item that I loved!

Beads:

-I was looking for beads to decorate with, not to wear and found some that matched my style perfectly.  I purchased two bead necklaces, navy and cranberry for $3.  Now, that’s decorating on a budget!

REVIEW:

This was my first year to finally go, so I wasn’t sure what to expect.  There is so much stuff, you’re bound to find something you fall in love with.  On the other hand, it might give you a headache from looking at tons and tons and tons of stuff and navigating the crowds in hot sun.  Yes, I that happened to me. =)  I lost steam fast while a mad headache took me over.  I would definitely go back with a backpack, water and aspirin just in case!  There is a show every Spring and Fall, so mark your calendar for the next one in April, visit Springfield Antique Show for more details.
