I recently had the chance to work as a Westerville Ohio commercial photographer on an exciting project at Johnston-McVay Park. This brand-new play space was designed by the talented team at Earth Scape Play, a company known for creating imaginative, one-of-a-kind playgrounds across the country.

Unique Playground Design by Earth Scape Play

Earth Scape Play believes playgrounds should be more than just play—they should spark creativity, inspire wonder, and bring communities together. For this Westerville, Ohio project, their designers created incredible eagle and butterfly play structures. These pieces were first designed in Canada, then carefully transported and installed on-site in Johnston-McVay Park. The result? A playground that is not only fun but also completely unique to the city of Westerville.

Capturing the Spirit of Play Through Photography

For this commercial photography session, my goal was to highlight the playful energy and creativity of the playground. Earth Scape Play wanted their portfolio images to feel fun, engaging, and full of life—and that’s exactly what we captured. Photographing their work at Johnston-McVay Park was such an enjoyable experience, and I loved documenting the details that make this playground so special.
