How To Hang Art Without Nails
If you’re like me, you’re looking for a good solution for how to hang art without nails. I’m a photographer and I enjoy having art on the walls, selling wall art and being an advocate for printing your photos! Instead of using a screw or nail with an anchor, which creates a very large hole to patch. I recently found an awesome, easy solution that I’m confident would be easy for anyone to hang their art. I’m eager to share with my “get projects done quick” kind of friends what my easy hanging solution is.
I purchased hooks similar to these through amazon. The original hooks I ordered are not longer being sold, but these are exactly the same. They make minimal wall damage and can hold up to 100 lbs. It takes all of about 10-20 seconds to push in and it’s ready to go.
First, figure out where you want to hang your art. Someones this is easy and sometimes this takes me some time. I enjoy pondering where I’d like to put my wall art. Anyone else?
Second, I recommend make sure you’re not going to hit a stud. Yes, I’ve done this! You’ll want to use a stud finder, this is the one I use. I don’t often do this step though because sometimes I don’t mind making one more small hold that will be hidden by a picture…lazy, I know. You want your hook to glide straight through drywall without hitting a stud.
Next, you want to push the straight, pointed side of your hook all the way through until it curves around and rests on the inside of the drywall (bracing itself) and only the hook is showing. And that’s it. It’s ready for your art.
Your hook should look like this after you push it in: Carefully hang your wall art:And step back and enjoy your quick and hassle free hanging experience
